Area-based Analysis (ABA) for Old Growth Managemet Areas (OGMA) values provides a simplified and transparent framework to assess and manage oil and gas development related to environmental and cultural values. ABA Status is an assignment of the level of risk stemming from the cumulative disturbance impact to ABA Values. ABA Status can be “Normal,” “Enhanced Management” or “Regulatory Policy”. “Enhanced Management” or “Regulatory Policy” identifies areas that are at higher risk from cumulative impacts. |
